The Healing House Project
Dedicated to the well-being of people with cancer and their families

The Healing House Vision
To date The Healing House Center for the Well-Being of People with Cancer and their Families exists in the heart and imagination of those who believe in this vision.  Your support can make it a reality for people affected by cancer in Northeast Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire and Southern Maine.

The Healing House is a center where people who have been diagnosed with cancer and their families can come for comprehensive support, guidance and holistic care that will help them through their journey.  It is a resource and community that reaches beyond the medical care cancer patients receive to provide information and services that will engage the innate healing abilities of the individual and enhance his or her sense of well-being and quality of life.

Since cancer is not an individual journey, The Healing House also offers services to help support family members in their own process and to bring their best selves forth in support of their loved one.

It is a beautiful, spacious and inviting free standing house with a welcoming staff that embraces each person who enters with love and compassion.  There is a common area for larger gatherings as well as rooms for smaller groups and treatment rooms for individual sessions.  The area is light and beautifully decorated with inspiring and healing art work.  There is a beautiful, peaceful indoor/outdoor garden.

Services that are offered include but are not limited to:  support groups for cancer patients and families, counseling, massage, reiki, yoga, chi gung, tai chi, meditation, wig and prosthetics services, nutrition education, make-up classes, lending library.

All services are provided free or at an affordable cost.  No one is turned away for inability to pay.  The Healing House will create the opportunity for the community, individuals and businesses, to contribute to the well-being of their friends and neighbors who are affected by cancer either through volunteering or with financial gifts.

All who support or work at The Healing House, whether volunteers or paid staff feel blessed to participate in this sacred endeavor.

All who enter feel like they have come home to a family they never knew before.

The wish for healing has always been half of health.
